You would use that port if you subscribe to their Gigabit Speed tier. The other ports are for up to 1.0 gigabit speed. The blinking lights indicate that data is flowing through the port. Went from 250mbps to 150. I noticed the channel wifi channel is on a channel that wasnt used on the xb6.
